Main Tasks and Responsibilities Reporting directly to the Localisation Manager, the successful candidate will work within a team responsible for the translation and editing of game content, press releases and other varied internal documents. Adaptability and flexibility, as well as the ability to make effective use of all available resources, are key to this role. The texts to be translated will be from English into Bahasa Indonesia, and there is a substantial amount of editing to be done on texts already written in Bahasa Indonesia. Localisation testing will also account for a significant amount of the workload.
BA in literature, translation or equivalent
Prior experience in translation
Bilingual (Bahasa Indonesia-English spoken/written)
Excellent communication skills and an appreciation for the subtleties of language and grammar
Creative and able to take initiative working independently or within a team
Able to do precise, accurate work under pressure, and prioritise work load in order to meet varying deadlines
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Third language (German, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian or French) an asset
Familiarity with video games and/or wireless technology an asset
The candidate will be a native Bahasa Indonesia speaker or equivalent.
As a member of Gameloft’s talented team in Yogyakarta Studio, report to Team Leader and Producer your day-to-day work consists of development, coding and debugging, integrating graphics, sound, and other game components, to deliver video games on high-end mobile devices integrating state-of-the-art technologies (Android, Windows Phone 8, Java, etc).
You will take part in the full cycle development of mobile games from start to finish, in connection with Gameloft international teams in America, Europe and Asia. Gameloft products are among the top-rated mobile games on major international markets.
Excellent C/C++; (knowledge of Java is a plus).
Good knowledge of Android/WindowsPhone8/Java development is definitely an asset.
Capabilities in 3D programming and 3D engines (Irrlicht, Orge, etc) is a plus.
Experience in game programming is welcome.
Good English reading and writing skills.
Team spirit, sense of responsibility, deadline commitment.
Ability to work under high pressure.
Bachelor degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent is preferable.
